You know, he actually wrote Hospital Music while in the hospital for treatment of Manic Depression. He's a pretty amazing artist. I have not given the new album much of a good listen yet, but hes is by far one of my favorite artists of all time. Check his solo stuff out, and also The Matthew Good Band, from before he broke off. Gooooood stuff.

The Nightmare Before Christmas-- the soundtrack. Excellent. Purely excellent!
ps, I heard the decemberists. I actually had a full album of theirs on my computer from who knows when. Indeed it is good music. I don't feel that I can categorize it, though windows media player calls it "alternative." Hmph! . The album is called "Her Majesty." I think I would call it chamber-rock. It was good, very good.
