There are so many articles on this-- news.google.com/nwshp?tab=wn&ncl=1122608907&hl=en&topic=hThe big question I have is--are these sanctions going to do any good? Do we yet have any actual proof that Iran is making weapons with the nuclear technology they have been procuring? China, Russia, and other countries aren't so convinced as the U.S. is that Iran is using the technology to make weapons. Especially if they aren't actually trying to make weapons, what good will these sanctions do?

Bush is the world's biggest flip flopper. He argued against the sanctions against Iraq, and ended them by instead attacking, invading, and occupying it. He still insists that was the right decision.
Yet he thinks that sanctions are going to work against Iran? Utter fucking bulshit. I can't wait until this anus-lipped turd brain gets the fuck out of office.

Bush was unable to get the tougher sanctions from the UN so he decided to do it himself. Silly man! It will backfire in the long run. Iran firstly, will tighten its international stances and that will include Iraq.

That sound about right. Bush really seems to know how to shoot his own foot.

It will depend when he plans the action. I do not think he wants it to bite him in the butt, so if action comes it will be Aug or Sept 08, IMO.

So the next president has to deal with it. Lovely stuff... You're probably right.

Unfortunately, Bush is setting the stage for the next Pres. It will be cool to see how they will handle the situation. This is from the NPR show, All Things Considered. LINK

Where have I heard this prediction before? Oh yeah--HERE! Unless the generals refuse orders to attack Iran (which is a good possibility if you believe a Feb 2007 Times of London story), Bush will most likely attack Iran before the presidential elections in the fall of 2008. This will directly impact the 2008 elections. LINK

Here is a good one for you to consider. Gulf states are willing to set up a body to provide enriched uranium to Iran, Saudi Arabia's foreign minister is reported to have said. Prince Saud al-Faisal told the Middle East Economic Digest (MEED) the plan could defuse Tehran's stand-off with the West over its nuclear programme. The prince was quoted as saying that Iran was considering the Gulf states' offer, but the US was not involved. LINK
