How do you feel about his freedom = authority speech? Do you feel he had a flub of words, or do you really think he meant what he said? Do you agree with that speech and others that have said similar things, or is that one of the areas you disagree with him on?
How do you feel about him being buddy-buddy with Pat Robertson? The guy scares me more than any candidate I've been alive to see. That speech he made brought me really cold chills in a very horrible way.

Kizz,
I would have to review that speech of Rudy's to offer an opinion.
I remember reading about it, but not well enough to think much of it. I think it was considered a gaff. Let me get back with ya on that. I will go this far: The Franklin line of giving up liberty for freedom ..... etc. This is wrong.
Robertson - on that one I can comment now - Robertson=blowhard. Not just him - but et al. I actually found the endorsement promising - for my goal of Rudy getting the nomination. There was a genuine fear that the religious right couldn't accept Rudy. Now that is NOT TO SAY that I would like Rudy to move right on the social issues that I like about him. Hopefully its a sign that the Robertson types are lightening up a bit.

I hadn't thought about it that way. Not that it makes it much better, but still, I hadn't thought of it that way.

Robertson calming down though is very reminiscent or Darth Vader holding out his hand to help Luke. I wouldn't trust it.

Like I said--not that it makes it much better. Robertson is still someone I really have a strong disliking for, and I feel that Robertson gives religious people a bad name.

I'm no fan either.
And hopefully Rudy didn't strike some deal with the devil kinda thing.

It's hard to say. I have my feelings about him, but some of them may be unfounded--but that speech--the freedom=authority speech--it's really hard to think of him the same after seeing the transcript of the speech.

What would make a religious right dude endorse a candidate that supports abortion, guns, gays etc. I think a deal was struck.

I hope it was just a reality check for Robertson. Rudy is the only GoP candidate that can win. And Rudy can't win without the religious right. Hopefully Robertson just made a choice between Rudy and Hillary - a choice that we will all make a little less than a year from now.
