Unfortunately, he may have a point. The leaders seem to be waffling as often as they change socks. Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani said Monday that two of the Democratic candidates will change their minds again about the Iraq war and agree that it was the right decision. Asked at a town-hall meeting to characterize the mission of U.S. troops in Iraq, Giuliani said they have done an admirable job. "Do I think the mission overall in Iraq is the correct one, I think without a doubt it is," the former New York mayor said at Insight Technologies, which makes tactical weapon lights and laser systems for the military. "And I think the Democrats are going to change their minds about it again," Giuliani said, noting that Hillary Rodham Clinton and John Edwards voted as senators for the initial invasion in 2003. LINK

They will change their positions, but I don't think stating that "going into Iraq is a good idea" will be one of them. The democrats are the wishy-washiest party, and Kerry was such a great example of that.
The only way that they're going to say that going into Iraq was a good idea is if the war magically becomes something good, which won't happen without magic.

I agree with you, but never underestimate the American people.

Do you mean that the people may change the Democrats' minds, or was it more to the degree of, never underestimate the power of stupidity of people?

I just know I wouldn't put anything past the democrats now. Their word is about as meaningful as an Atheist swearing on the bible.

Well think about it--the dems are leaning to a conservative Dem and the Repubs are leaning to a liberal repub. Now that is good press.

Sadly, he has sold out whatever socially liberal ideas he had, in hopes of being the most powerful man in the world.

Because "everybody" knows that freedom equals authority. Okay, I've used that line SO many times now, but I guess I can't say it enough--the guy is scary.

I have a suggestion-- if you don't want people to forget about that line, put it in your signature! Not just here, but in other forums too. That way you can be sure that people know he said that, so when they are thinking about him being a liberal conservative, they think twice

So - as the new guy - allow to state that Rudy is my candidate of choice for 2008. We share positions on abortion, guns, and gay rights - which I really think that the GoP needs to alter their position on.
Also - I think he's the only one who can beat Hillary.
That said - I think he's right. Hillary has been dancing around the Iraq issue during her whole campaign. Attempting to dodge it with the left while illustrating to the middle that she's hawkish. I expected her to move left on Iraq for the primary - but with a 30 point national lead, she doesn't have to. I truly expected the anti-war wing of the democratic party to be stronger - and force a shift out of her. I'm disappointed.
To her credit - Hillary has been consistent on Iraq. The senator was all for it at the beginning and still is.
