Do you agree with this? - A new study of campaign 2008 coverage finds that Illinois Democrat Barack Obama and former "Law & Order" actor Fred Thompson, a Republican, have enjoyed much more positive coverage than their rivals. By the same token, longtime media darling John McCain of the GOP has taken a beating in coverage, largely the result of mostly negative stories about his fundraising struggles. The study of coverage was conducted from January 1-May 31 by the Project for Excellence in Journalism and the Joan Shorenstein Center on Press, Politics and Public Policy. LINK

That is very true. They have been getting mostly positive coverage. I've noticed this for a while.
I wonder if Thompson doesn't get ranked on as much because he's a TV star, and Obama doesn't get ranked on because people might be scared of being called a racist?

I think the media is trying to change the perception that they are annointing Clinton and Rudy as the nominees. They have been taking some heat in the past.

They certainly were doing that for a while. There'd be a whole bunch of polls done all over the place, and media would ignore them and make blanket statements that Clinton is in the lead, over and over again. It's good that it isn't happening as much now, but still.....

So, now it is seeming like things have switched over to being pro-Clinton. It just seems like they've (media) already made their decision.

It's looking like ABC is still supporting Obama.
