How far is political correctness going to go? How about business-speak.
Are we going to become the reality that was in Demolition Man?
How SAFE(tm) can we get? How NICE(tm) do we need to be?
How much longer will it be before competitive behavior is banned from schools?
How much more PC can we get before we start becoming unable to function?
Why does the left seem to push more for political correctness than the right?

Kizz, I do not think it is a right or left thing; it seems to be ALL politicians. Confusion is their ally and PC is just a way to keep the voter totally confused.

But what about schools, the workplace--what side pushes for PCness in those places more often? When has the right wing pushed for PCness in those places?
For instance--racist words and homophobic words--I don't like them much, but I think people should have the right to say them--and I'll go to the extremes of saying INCLUDING the workplace. Teachers--NO WAY.
As long as someone doesn't actually discriminate, I think that people that are prejudice should be able to be known for being such. I would rather know who I'm dealing with and yet know that my employer or my landlord are bound by rules that do not let them discriminate in ACTION. Okay, so I'm a little extreme in this area, oh well. But to balance it out a bit, I don't think businesses should be able to discriminate against ANYTHING except someone's job performance. The employer can nag the employee all they want and be as vocal about it as they want, but they can't fire the person unless they're actually doing a bad job.
I feel that way about a lot of things though.
Wow, that was a long rant....
Anyway--I think personally that the push for PCness is more of a left-wing thing.
