If it's gonna cost you to be ad free, then by all means, have the ads. We're all tolerant, and I'm sure that nobody clicks on them. They're not even super-invasive.

It's only $7 a month. No big deal. I want to use this site as a reference for graphic design, and the ads kind-of ruin the design. I'm finally starting to take all these years of graphics creating and editing and trying to use them to further a career. I've applied for several graphics design jobs this weekend through CraigsList, and I'm going to continue doing such until I eventually get something in the field. I finally have enough graphics I've created online through different websites. I'm really excited about this. I've made minimum wage most of my working life, and it will be nice to finally be able to move up a little bit, especially doing something I have some pretty good skills in.

That's cool, although ads really don't bother me either as long as they aren't invasive. I hate any kind of pop ads. I HATE, HATE, HATE the ones that splash up in front of whatever page you're viewing and they are one big custom graphic and they make noise and move and you can't find the damn close button because it's camouflaged and in a weird place. Whoever makes those ads should be shot in the genitalia.
I also take issue with forum ads that split the threads. Other than that, I'm pretty tolerant, although I'm starting to really hate the banner ads that expand or make noise when you roll over them.

Yeah, those are really irritating. I hate those ones that block the page the most, and you HAVE to wait for it to animate and make noise before a close button appears.
