Anyone play this yet? I'm hooked. I never played the first one nine years ago, but this is class based FPS at it's best. I have been burnt out on ANY FPS for a couple of years now. This game has revitalized the genre completely. With 9 unique classes and a great cartoon look, this game is serious strategy and fast paced action.

I keep looking up what that term means but all I get are pages that happen to have some of the same phrases in them--I can't even find anything in wikipedia, and I'm really feeling stupid for not knowing, but what is a "class based" fps? I feel like I REALLY should know this already.

Class based means that you don't just pick Grunt A or some generic soldier. It's team oriented and different classes have strengths and weaknesses. For example, You can pick the Spy, who can cloak to turn invisible for a limited time, disguise himself as an enemy player, kill instantly from behind with his knife, and call medics from the other team to heal him, and then kill them. Downside is that he moves slow, only carries a revolver besides his knife, and once you attack the other team disguised as the other team, he reverts to normal until you disguise again. Another example is the Scout. The Scout can run twice as fast as other classes, can double jump in the air, and capture control points (ala battlefield) 2X as fast as other classes. But he has the lowest hit points (125) and a shotgun so he has to get in close with those low hit points. There is the Heavy, who has a whopping 300 hit points and carries a chain-gun. He plods along like a snail though. The Soldier has a bazooka and can rocket jump like Quake III. But those rockets are kind of slow. Great for picking off a sniper who is looking into his scope. Anyways, nine classes in all and FAR more diverse than other class based team shooters.

Okay--sounds like a really good game. Nice to have something that goes beyond deathmatches and king of the hill.

I still can't stop playing. I just wish I knew more people that played it the way it's meant to be played; as a team.

Can we get this moved and just have reviews in here? I know you made me a moderator, but I don't want to do anything rash and upset the Kizzume.
