I wasn't sure where to put this. But were you open to ideas? Maybe if someone came up with an idea for a new forum or whatever. The reason I ask is because of emulation/video game stuff. It would be cool to have a separate area under Entertainment.

Done. Thanks for the suggestion.

Does the "View Recent Posts" make the top colored-border area too big? I kind-of like seeing more of the color-fading graphics at the top, but maybe it's too much. I definitely like having the recent posts option easily available at the top of the screen though.
I also ever-so-slightly brightened a couple things because I found that on some CRT screens, the blue-to-red fade was almost not visible at all--I just hope it isn't too bright now. I like the way it looks, but I hope I haven't made it too bright to the point of making it difficult to read.
What do you think?

It all seems good to me. I actually like the color scheme on the fade. It reminds me of a speaker too close to the monitor, LOL.

Well, I just made the text bigger and changed the font. I like this change a lot. It's easier to read, and it allowed me to change the height of that color fade--to me the whole site looks better now. I was originally toying with the idea of using a custom font and having the installer for that font available as a click from the menu at the top, but the only ones that looked good were not free fonts, so I stuck with Tahoma.

Man, I don't know. The text is huge! And skinny! But I suppose I can adjust.

Let me try some more things with it.... over the next 30 minutes it's going to look different several times.

Um.....I THINK. Yeah, this one seems to be in the middle between what you did earlier today and the one you had before this one (which was really small.) I personally am a bit of a small text guy, but I think what this is right now seems to be a very happy medium.

And I'm a big text kind-of guy. Not that I have a hard time reading, but I just think it looks nicer, and I guess I think about the people who DO have a hard time with small text--especially the ones that don't like white text on dark backgrounds
Hey, maybe that's something I could do with multiple skins if I can't change the whole color scheme--hmm... text size...
I think this is a nice medium though. Hopefully this will be good...

Yeah and of course, it really is ultimately your decision, not mine. I was just letting you know what I thgouht of the huge text, personally.

It's good that I have input. It's the only way I know what people are thinking about it. I was wondering whether it was a little TOO big before, but I liked it. Knowing that others felt it was HUGE, it means I need to tone it down a little. I very much appreciate your input. I want this board to be something that everyone can enjoy.

Well, I added a new font into the mix. Just go to the How-To section in the font thread and download the font pack--there's an easy installer or you can just drop the font into your windows/fonts folder. Then go to edit your profile on the forum and select the Clearly Gothic Italic skin. Voila. A really nice-looking font, at least with cleartype (font smoothing) on it is.
