 Well, okay..  If you want to take a sneak peek at the forum to come, go to www.kizzume.com/kizzume/forumI'm finally starting to get the phpBB forum together. It's going to be MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH faster than this ProBoards forum. I have a lot of bugs to work out yet, especially getting the forum to view correctly in IE--it looks totally messed right now in IE. I'm really looking forward to making the switch. I recently found out that ProBoards is blocked by a WHOLE BUNCH of email providers. After finding that out, it was the final straw for me to really start trying to get my own forum software, and now that I'm seeing how fast it's going, I can't wait. It's going to be great! |

However, since proboards doesn't let me make a copy of the database, and I'll have to copy the messages over by hand to the new forum because of it, and we have SO many messages here, I may end up having to make THIS forum "Kizzume Forum Archive". It will be a shame to have to do that, but the amount of work that will be necessary to copy over 2,000 messages by hand is going to be pretty excessive and extreme. I WILL do it to a number of posts, however. I will definitely copy the ones that have been the most popular in the politics area and ALL of the ones in the entertainment section. It will be so nice to have a forum that I can do backups on a regular basis. HackFest hit the nail on the head right away when he first came in when he inquired about that. I sure wish I would have known I could do this WAAAY BEFORE ever even starting this forum we've been using. I didn't even know infraxes was an application server until 2 months ago or so when Coyote helped me so much. I don't know what I would have done without him. I'm going to start a new thread thanking him. |
