The funny thing is, I love terrible movies. I've always had a soft spot for truly horrendous movies. Besides, you haven't lived until you've watched "Cannibal Women in the Avacado Jungle of Death."

Yeah, but those movies are supposed to be bad. The ones I mentioned were supposed to be good. LOL

I'd say Dragon Wars was pretty freaking terrible. The only reason why I didn't get up and leave in the theater is because we were entertaining my girlfriend's younger siblings.

I'm glad I didn't see that one.
I think the movies I'm going to want to see the most from now on are those that are adaptations from great novels. It seems to be the only thing that Hollywood seems to consistently put out at least halfway-decent quality. I sure hope Dragon Wars wasn't some famous book I've never heard of.... LOL

The type of movies you mention tend to have the most substance and of the best quality to me. Biopics are usually pretty fulfilling as well, and I would categorize those with what you say as well Kizzume. What I can't stand are comedies. They have made very few good comedies in the last 10 years or so. Virtually all of the humor is sex or drug related and is the same in every movie. It's not even done well. Moron A: Dude, I so wanna hit that action! She's the bomb! Moron B: Dude, you couldn't hit that, you're high! Moron Mixture: Ah ha ha ha ha. We're losers.

The mid 90's was probably the last good period for comedy, in my opinion. I think the expectations of being "pc" has ruined a lot of comedy.

At least I'm not the only one that felt that way. I saw 28 days later in the theaters with my ex, and he thought it was great, so I sort-of pretended it was handleable and kept watching. I'm not a fan of zomie-ish movies in the first place--as far as horror, you don't get any more cliche' than a zombie movie.
