Kizzume, I am interested in your thoughts on this movie since you just saw it, but I want to know what others who have seen it think. I am aware that this may be moved to "Deep Cleansing" but for now, let's hear what you all think.

I haven't seen it for a couple years I think, but in my opinion, from what I remember, it was an excellent film. I am unaware of the reasons someone would dislike it. I don't remember all the details, but I do remember the basic premise-- a man is very racist, part of skinhead groups etc, and then in prison he gets renewed, and realizes that the racism he believed in was wrong, and he applies this renewed sense of understanding to his life. I think that is a good message.

I thought the movie was excellent. There were parts where I had a hard time watching for sure, but all in all the movie was fantastic. It deals with a very important issue. I also think that the message portrayed is a good one.

I thought it dealt with both sides of things very well. It was very disturbing. I do, however, know a couple people who consider themselves to be separatists, and they are honestly the last people I could picture starting a fight or even continuing a fight if they were threatened--and they also don't constantly badmouth other races either. So that element is missing from the movie, but those aren't the groups of people the movie was targeting--it was trying to show the danger of the whole thing.
I felt that there were probably a lot of things that had been removed from the movie. There were a number of scenes that seemed to be almost gutted. This may have been the hollywood editing room. Those scenes may have been too much for me to watch. Already I had to watch the movie in four sections because they were rough issues.
Great movie overall. It really gets me thinking about a lot of things. I know that some people are going to be prejudice no matter what, and I mean people from ALL sides, and if we remove those people's right to THINK that way, the results can be ugly and it can really bring forth harsh and hateful feelings.

The movie made me ill... physically ill, but this is why it was a good movie. It made everything so human and understandable.
